ANTELOPE ISLAND STATE PARK - UTAH
Antelope Island, an area of 42 square miles, is the largest of ten islands located within the Great Salt Lake in Utah. It is located about 40 miles north of Salt Lake City.
Some of the activities available to visitors are hiking, mountain biking and horseback riding along the park’s backcountry trails that offer spectacular views of lake and island scenery. Antelope Island is also home to free-ranging bison, mule deer, bighorn sheep, pronghorn (antelope), and many other desert animals. Additionally, millions of birds congregate along the shores surrounding the island, offering unrivaled opportunities for birding and photographing.
